Sonia Contera profileSonia Contera is full Professor of Biological Physics and Associate Head of the Physics Department at the University of Oxford (UK). She specialises in physics at the interface of biology, nanotechnology, and information processing as well as in atomic force microscopy of biological systems with special interest in the role of mechanics in biology.

She has become a columnist for the Spanish newspaper “El Pais” and is author of the book “Nano comes to life: How nanotechnology is transforming medicine and the future of biology”, published by Princeton University Press.
