Kati Koponen profileKati Koponen is senior scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. As a researcher, her expertise is climate change mitigation, carbon dioxide removal, CCUS, bioenergy and climate impact assessment.

She’s also a member of the Finnish Climate Change Panel since 2024. She’s among the authors of a report commissioned by the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy in 2025 on the role of Direct Air Capture (DAC).
