Scientist: Walter Ricciardi

Prof. Walter Ricciardi ESMH ScientistWalter Ricciardi is Professor of General and Applied Hygiene at the Catholic University and Director of the Department of Women’s, Children’s and Public Health Sciences at the Agostino Gemelli Irccs University Polyclinic Foundation. From 2015 to 2018 he was president of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità and for the three-year period 2017-2020 he represents Italy on the Executive Board of the World Health Organization. Furthermore, he is vice president of the World Federation of Public Health Associations. On 24 February, the Italian government appointed Walter Ricciardi as advisor for Italy’s relationships with international health organizations.
