Scott Brennen media research

Dr. J. Scott Brennen is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and the Oxford Internet Institute, UK. His work investigates how changing media structures, cultures, and technologies are shaping the production and circulation of scientific information and scientific misinformation. He currently works on the Oxford Martin Programme on Misinformation, Science, and Media. Scott holds an MA and a PhD from the School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Scott holds a BA in chemistry from Grinnell College, Iowa. He wrote his doctoral thesis on “Science in Pieces: Public Science in the Deformation Age.”
