Scientist: Rita Campos

Rita Campos profileRita Campos is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (CES-UC), member of the Observatory for Education Policies and Professional Development, and co-coordinator of the Methodologies Cycle “Roda de Saberes” and the Working Group “Citizen Science and Education”. She has a PhD in Biology from the University of Porto, in the areas of evolutionary biology and population genetics. Since 2009 she became interested in the fields of Science Communication and Science Education, and since 2016 she has been exclusively dedicated to these areas. Her current research interests focus on the study and production of tools for science communication, active learning and public engagement with and in science on the topics of the relations between biodiversity and human health, interconnections between systems and sustainability.
