Kajsa Falasca is Senior Lecturer and Assistant Professor at the Department of Media and Communication Science (MKV) at the research centre DEMICOM at Mid University Sweden.
Her research is focused on political communication and the interaction between political actors, media and citizens, the importance of political communication for democracy and how it develops in the modern democracy with particular focus on strategic political communication. Her most recent work is a collaboration with 90 researchers, a report with reflections and comments on the election campaign and elections in Sweden in September 2018.

Online disinformation during elections : researchers in Europe team up to monitor and analyse the situation
As has been the case for many recent national elections, the European Parliament elections are also facing the challenges of online disinformation. The European Commission is making an extra effort to push giant tech companies to implement a voluntary code of conduct against disinformation. European researchers are preparing the first studies on the topic.
