Dan Larhammar is Professor Molecular Cell Biology at the Swedish University of Uppsala since 1994. He received a pharmacist degree in 1980, and a PhD at the Faculty of Medicine in 1984. Since 2007 he has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and currently he is its president. His research concerns evolution, neurobiology, endocrinology and pharmacology. He also has a strong interest in the distinction between science and pseudoscience.
