Aida Ponce Del Castillo is a lawyer by training and holds a PhD in Law. She has been working at the Foresight Unit of European Trade Union Institute in Brussels for 13 years, researching the legal, ethical and regulatory issues of emerging technologies, such as nanotechnologies and AI, and other data-driven technologies, with a focus on work and employment issues. She is a member of the OECD’s Working Party “Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Converging Technologies” and she is the former Coordinator of the Workers’ Interest Group at the Advisory Committee of Safety and Health to the European Commission.
