Mohamed Elsonbaty Ramadan is an award-winning science journalist, communication and public engagement consultant, and trainer with over 15 years of international experience. Founder of SciComm-AI and co-founder of the Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication (AFSMC), he has held leading roles including Vice-President of the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) Network and Interim President of the Arab Science Journalists Association (ASJA). He has published more than 700 articles in renowned outlets such as Scientific American, Popular Science, MIT Technology Review, and Al Jazeera, and has consulted for organisations including the British Council, DW Akademie, and the American University in Cairo. Author of ‘How to Become a Science Journalist?‘, he has delivered extensive training for scientists, journalists, and communicators worldwide. A Chevening Scholar, he holds a master’s degree in Science Communication and Public Engagement from the University of Edinburgh and a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Alexandria University. His contributions have been recognised with the Study UK Alumni Award (Egypt, 2023), the EurekAlert! Fellowship (AAAS, 2019), and the Mijbil Al-Mutua Award (2017).
