Ludo waltman photo profileLudo Waltman is Professor of Quantitative Science Studies and Deputy Director of the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University, The Netherlands. He is also co-developer of the VOSviewer software for scientometric visualization, coordinator of the CWTS Leiden Ranking, a bibliometric ranking of major universities worldwide, and Editor-in-Chief of Quantitative Science Studies. His research group is developing and evaluating tools for measuring and analysing scientific literature, with a special emphasis on applications in research management and science policy.
