Luc Piguet profileLuc Piguet is the CEO and Co-Founder of ClearSpace, an in-orbit servicing (IOS) company with the intent to revolutionize the way space operations are conducted. ClearSpace is now becoming a global company with dynamic engineering teams in Switzerland, the UK, Germany, Luxembourg and in the United States. ClearSpace is creating the technologies that will support a wide range of IOS applications, from disposal and in-orbit transport to inspection, assembly, manufacturing, repair, and recycling.

Luc founded the company in 2018 with the vision to create a new space business model by pioneering space sustainability. With his genuine interest in micro-electronics, he studied at HEIG-VD, at EPFL for a Master of science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and at Stanford University Graduate School of Business for an executive business program.

He sits on the ESA NewSpace Advisory Board (NAB), composed of industrial representatives advising ESA Director General on the required evaluation of the Agency’s role and approach and on the set-up of measures and policies to stimulate a commercial European space sector.
