Renate Heinisch

Renate Heinisch Renate Heinisch is a pharmacist, with a doctorate in biopharmacy. From 1994 to 1999 she was Member of European Parliament and vice-chair of the Science and Technology Options Assessment Panel (STOA). She has been a researcher at Mainz and Konstanz universities, and at the ETH Zurich. She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry and runned her own business as a pharmacist. She currently is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee, member of BAGSO (Germany's Federal Association of Senior Citizens' Organisations) and Chairwoman of Baden-Württemberg Parents' Association. Her main areas of interest are public health, education, training, youth, research and innovation, information society.
