Maura Hiney
Maura Hiney is an Adjunct Professor of Research Integrity at UCD, helped establish the Irish National Research Integrity Forum and contributed to Irish RI policies (2019, 2024, 2022). She has worked with ESF, Science Europe, and ALLEA to foster RI. Maura chairs the ALLEA Research Ethics and Integrity Council and led revisions of the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity in 2017 and 2023, now a key document in EU grants, curricula, and policies across Europe. She is Treasurer of the World Conferences on RI Foundation and advises EU-funded RI and ethics projects. In 2025, she was elected to the Royal Irish Academy for her contributions to RI policy.-
