Matthew James Dennis

Matthew James Dennis Matthew J. Dennis is an assistant professor in ethics of technology at the Technical University Eindhoven (Netherlands). He specialises in the ethics of artificial intelligence, algorithmic fairness, and the future of work.
His recent publications focus on how we can live well with emerging technologies from an intercultural perspective. He is the principal investigator of a 2-year research project, “Tomorrow's Value Conflicts”, which examines the ethical potential for virtual reality and other technologies of prospection. He has held visiting positions at the University of Oxford's Institute for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (2023), Erasmus Centre for Data Analytics (2023), University of Amsterdam's Institute for Advanced Studies (2022), and University of Cambridge's Centre for the Future of Intelligence (2020).
