Jyri Kivimäki is a media professional with over 25 years of experience at Yle, the Finnish Broadcasting Company, working across editorial and development roles. For the past years, he has focused on AI implementation in journalism, building AI tools for newsrooms and guiding journalists and producers through the practical realities of integrating AI into daily editorial work. He leads the AI development and transformation at Yle. His work includes building Yle GPT, Yle's internal AI environment, and driving the responsible adoption of AI across content production and digital services. He regularly trains media professionals across Europe, including for the EBU Academy, and firmly believes that AI should support editorial judgment – not replace it.-
