Andrés Díaz Lantada
Prof. Dr Andrés Díaz Lantada of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, is an expert in the fields of mechanical engineering, biomedicine and smart materials. His research is dedicated to applying mechanical engineering principles to transform healthcare technologies and the medical industry.
He has established the research line on “Bioinspired, Smart and Living Materials” at the IMDEA Materials Institute in Spain and works on engineered living materials (ELMs) for medical applications. He has served as principal investigator in several European projects, including TOMAX, UBORA, INKplant, and BIOMET4D.
