Are you passionate about science and technology and do you like to translate complex concepts into accessible and engaging stories?
Then apply to our Call for Expression of Interest (CEI) for experts in the field of science communication!
The European Science-Media Hub (ESMH) of the European Parliament is looking for experienced science communicators and science journalists to write articles and interviews on science and technology issues.
To work with us, your application must contain the following forms filled in and signed electronically, or sent as PDF scans containing your handwritten signature:
- Application Form (Annex I);
- Declaration on honour (Annex II);
- Financial Identification Form (Annex III): this form must also bear the stamp of the relevant bank and the signature of the bank’s representative. If you are unable to obtain this stamp and signature (eg. in the case of online banks), a recent bank account statement clearly indicating both the account holder and bank account number must be attached to the Financial Identification Form;
- Declaration on honour concerning the restrictive measures established by Council Decision 2014/512/CFSP and Council Regulation 833/2014 (Annex IV).
- A motivation letter of no more than two pages (max. 500 words), in which you set out your reasons for applying and the main reasons why you should be admitted, including the thematic area/s you are interested to write about;
- A full curriculum vitae based on the Europass template.
The other annexes in the Call, for example Annex VII (Declaration on Professional Independence and Absence of Conflict of Interest), do not have to be sent to us in order to apply.
You can find all the forms and more information on how to apply on the CEI page.
We are looking forward to working with you!
